After identifying the vehicle and you are still interested, take the Mustang for a test drive. After the test drive, leave without discussing a purchse, even if you love the car. Shop around; get a selection for yourself to chose from before purchasing your Mustang.

There are many reasons that one could make the choice to sell their vehicle. Many people choose to sell their vehicle so they can upgrade the vehicle, others decide to sell the vehicle because it has become too much of an expense to own the vehicle. Sometimes the cost of gas or monthly payments for the vehicle becomes too expensive, forcing the vehicle owner to sell their car.
Regardless of the reason that you are selling your vehicle, what steps should you take to prepare it for the sale? First, when selling a vehicle it is important to gather the information for the vehicle including warranty, any repair work that has been completed on the vehicle as well as any purchase information that will be relevant to the new owner. As an added selling point, many people take the vehicle to a local mechanic or to the dealership to obtain a statement about the condition of the vehicle, as well as any repairs that are required. There is a growing car shipping scam on the internet which has been targeting sellers of cars, boats, motorbikes and other single high value items, even horses !
We first came across this in January when we were approached by a car dealer in Australia who had been directed to a website purporting to be 1st Move International’s car shipping site.
Car Shipping Scam: The hook
Fraudsters had copied aspects of our site and were advising potential victims that they would buy their vehicle and ship it via their approved shippers, pointing the victim to this so called shipping site which they had published themselves.
Once the seller had been “hooked” the fraudster then sends a cheque to the seller for the cost of the vehicle and, very kindly, includes in this payment the costs for shipping the vehicle overseas. Read the rest of this entry »
