If you are considering a hybrid vehicle, you may be hearing quite a bit of “gossip”. Some people think the hybrid car is the best thing on the market. Some people say it’ll just pass. Yet other people again say they think they can save a packet, but you’re not sure it’s really worth it. What’s the truth, and how do you separate fact from fiction with all of the stuff that is being thrown at you? Below, you can read and consider the usual hybrid vehicle myths.
Hybrid cars are just the same as electric cars: This is untrue because hybrid cars are fuel-powered for the most part. But they have what are called ‘battery assists’. The assist is powered by a nickel-metal hydride battery pack that is rechargeable.
You are guaranteed to save money with a hybrid car: If you are doing town driving, you may economize on gas and you may not. The same goes for long-distance driving. If you have a car that is completely dead and would cost more to repair than what it is worth, then you can still make some money off of it. Even if the car is beyond repair, there are engine and body parts that are still functional and could be salvaged. There are auto mechanic shops, salvage yards, and many more who would be interested in buying those parts off of you. Don’t just give up and send it to the junk yard. They are simply going to take the car and do exactly what you can do. They are going to sell the parts to any individuals who come there looking for what is on your old car.
The engine
Even though part of the engine is dead doesn’t mean the entire thing is. The car battery may still be good, the alternator, air conditioning unit, belts, cam shaft, and so much more can be sold because these are items that are frequently sought out by individuals. So it is a good idea to take advantage of that by placing a sign in front of your yard or an ad in the paper. That is if you know how to safely remove the car parts on your own. If you do, then you can maximize your profit on the car because many individuals seek out salvage engine parts before they will go to the auto parts store and buy new ones. A hundred years has passed since the collaboration of William Harvey and Andrew Davidson in Milwaukee, USA to reinvent the motorcycle. The pair up has revolutionized the motorcycle world from selling mere utility rigs to selling an awesome lifestyle.
While other companies were just selling regular motorcycles, by creating a biker image, the Harley left its competitors eating dust. Today, Harley Davidson ranks among America’s top growth stocks since its 1986 IPO. It has an annual sales growth of 37% despite suffering some difficulties.

Buying a Harley gets you into the Harley Owners Group or HOG as they are fondly called. The Harley legacy still thrives in the fraternity of HOG members.
While the company is reflecting robust earnings, there is some worry about how the company will fare in the next 100 years. It is interesting to note that a considerable percentage of Hog owners are baby boomers enjoying the benefits of their earnings and accomplishments in the 90s. What used to be a niche for young professionals, the HOG drivers are now growing older and its important that the Harley should appeal to younger demographics if they intend to survive the succeeding years.
